1. About This Privacy Policy
In brief: This Privacy Policy explains how Cuelize, operated by Inovetix Inc. (“Inovetix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Cuelize mobile application on iOS or Android.
Cuelize is a teleprompter and recording application. You can write or paste scripts, display them while recording, and use your device camera and microphone to create recordings. Our current version is designed to perform these core functions directly on your device.
This Privacy Policy applies to information handled through the Cuelize app. It does not govern the independent processing of information by Apple or Google related to your Apple Account or Google Account, App Store or Google Play activity, or payment transactions. Apple's and Google's own privacy practices and terms apply to those activities.
2. Information Cuelize Handles
In brief: Cuelize is intentionally limited in the information it needs to operate.
Scripts and text you create
When you create, paste, edit, or save a teleprompter script, that content may be stored locally on your device so that you can access and use it within Cuelize. We do not currently upload your scripts to our servers.
Recordings and media
When you record a video using Cuelize, the recording is processed on your device. Depending on your device settings and your actions, you may choose to save or export the resulting media to your device's photo library (such as Apple Photos or Google Photos) or another destination. Once you export content outside Cuelize, the privacy practices of that destination may apply.
Camera and microphone
Cuelize requests access to your camera and microphone only when needed for recording. Camera and microphone data are used to provide the recording feature and are not currently transmitted by Cuelize to our servers or third-party AI/API services.
Device permissions
You control Cuelize's access to device permissions through your device's operating system settings (iOS Settings or Android Settings). If you deny a permission, the corresponding feature may not function, but you can continue using other parts of the app where available.
Subscription and transaction information
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We may receive limited, non-payment transaction information necessary to provide your subscription, such as confirmation that a subscription is active, its product identifier, and its renewal or expiration status. We do not receive your payment card details.
Support communications
If you voluntarily contact us for support or with a privacy request, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
3. Camera, Microphone, and Local Media
In brief: Cuelize uses device hardware only to provide features you actively choose to use.
- Camera access is used for video recording.
- Microphone access is used to capture audio during recording.
- Scripts and recordings are intended to remain on your device unless you explicitly export or share them using your device's operating system or another service you choose.
- Cuelize does not use your camera or microphone for background surveillance, advertising, or unrelated data collection.
4. How We Use Information
In brief: We use information handled by Cuelize only to provide the app's features, maintain functionality, and support user-initiated actions.
- Display and manage your teleprompter scripts.
- Provide scrolling, reading, and teleprompter controls.
- Capture video and audio when you start a recording.
- Save content locally so you can continue using it.
- Enable you to export or share content when you choose to do so.
- Provide and manage access to subscription features.
- Respond to support requests when you voluntarily contact us.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
We do not currently use your scripts, recordings, camera content, or microphone content for advertising, behavioral profiling, or AI model training.
5. On-Device Processing and No Third-Party API Uploads
In brief: The current version of Cuelize is built around local processing.
At the time this Privacy Policy was published, Cuelize does not send your scripts, recorded videos, camera frames, or recorded audio to Inovetix Inc. servers or third-party API providers for processing. Core teleprompter and recording functionality is performed on your device.
Cuelize also does not currently require you to create an account in order to use its core teleprompter and recording features.
This does not mean that Apple, Google, or other services you independently choose to use have no access to information. For example, if you purchase a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, or export or share a recording using another application, those services may process information under their own privacy policies.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
In brief: Paid access to Cuelize is offered through the in-app purchase systems of the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Current subscription
Cuelize currently offers an auto-renewing yearly subscription, with a free trial where presented at the time of purchase. The price, trial length, renewal terms, taxes, and currency shown to you at the point of purchase are controlled by, and disclosed within, the App Store or Google Play purchase interface.
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's or Google's subscription rules.
Inovetix Inc. does not receive or store your full payment card number, security code, or other sensitive payment credentials through Cuelize. Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google.
For questions about cancelling a subscription, refunds, billing, or payment processing, you may need to contact Apple or Google directly or use the subscription management tools provided by iOS or Android.
7. Information We Do Not Collect or Sell
In brief: Cuelize does not operate as an advertising or data broker service.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not rent your personal information to advertisers.
- We do not use your scripts or recordings to build advertising profiles.
- We do not currently upload your camera or microphone content to third-party AI/API services.
- We do not currently use your personal content to train machine-learning models.
- We do not intentionally collect precise location information through Cuelize.
Because Cuelize is designed to work primarily on-device, the amount of information that needs to leave your device is intentionally minimized.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
In brief: Content created inside Cuelize is generally retained locally until you delete it, remove the app, or otherwise manage it through your device.
We do not maintain a central cloud database containing your scripts or recordings in the current version of Cuelize. Accordingly, we generally cannot access or delete locally stored scripts or recordings on your behalf, because those files remain under your device's control. You can delete scripts and recordings within the app, through your device's file or photo management tools, or by uninstalling the app.
If you export or share content to another app, cloud service, or storage location, that copy may be retained according to the other service's policies. You are responsible for managing copies you create outside Cuelize.
If you contact us for support, we may retain the information contained in your support communication for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Security
In brief: We use a privacy-first design to reduce unnecessary exposure of your content.
Because your scripts and recordings are primarily processed and stored on your device, the security of your device and its operating system controls are important to protecting that content. We recommend keeping your device updated, using a strong passcode, and enabling the security features available on iOS or Android.
No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you choose to export or share content through another service, the security of that service is outside our control.
10. Your Privacy Rights
In brief: Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights concerning personal information.
Because Cuelize does not currently maintain a cloud account system or central repository of your scripts and recordings, many of your content-related privacy controls are available directly through your device. If we hold personal information about you — for example, through a support interaction or another direct communication — you may exercise the rights described below by contacting us using the details in Section 15. We will verify and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
United States — California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may give you the right to: (a) know and access the personal information we have collected about you; (b) request deletion of personal information; (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (d) receive information about our collection, use, and disclosure practices; and (e) not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
Categories of personal information collected. In the preceding 12 months, the only categories of personal information Inovetix Inc. has collected through Cuelize are: (1) identifiers and communication contents you voluntarily provide when contacting us for support (such as your email address and message contents), and (2) limited subscription status information associated with in-app purchases as described in Section 6. We collect this information directly from you or from Apple or Google in connection with your purchase, and we use it for the purposes described in Section 4.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, including that of consumers under 16 years of age.
How to submit a request. You or your authorized agent may submit a request by contacting us using the details in Section 15. We will confirm receipt and respond within the timeframes required by California law (generally within 45 days, subject to permitted extensions). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
United States — other state privacy laws
Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and Oregon) may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sales of personal data, and certain profiling. Cuelize does not engage in targeted advertising, sales of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You may exercise applicable rights, or appeal a decision regarding a request, by contacting us using the details in Section 15.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Cuelize does not track its users over time or across third-party apps, websites, or online services, and does not serve interest-based advertising. Because no such tracking occurs, the app does not respond differently to “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals — all users receive the same non-tracking treatment.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If applicable data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply to you, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing, subject to applicable legal conditions. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
11. Children's Privacy
In brief: Cuelize is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Cuelize is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and Cuelize does not require children to provide personal information to use its core teleprompter functionality.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent as required by the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or other applicable law, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the details in Section 15.
12. International Users
In brief: Cuelize may be used by people in different countries, and privacy protections may vary by jurisdiction.
The app's current core content processing is performed on the user's device. If you voluntarily contact Inovetix Inc., or use third-party services such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another service to which you export content, your information may be processed in countries where those organizations operate, subject to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
13. Future AI Features
In brief: We may introduce optional AI-powered features in future versions of Cuelize.
Future versions may include AI functionality such as script assistance, rewriting, summarization, speech-related tools, or other creative features. Depending on how a future feature is implemented, it may require information to be processed by Inovetix Inc. or a third-party AI service.
If a future feature materially changes how your personal information, scripts, recordings, images, audio, or other content is processed, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate disclosures within the app or at the relevant point of use where required by applicable law.
Unless clearly disclosed otherwise, your current use of Cuelize does not involve sending your scripts or recordings to third-party AI services.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
In brief: We may revise this Privacy Policy when Cuelize changes or when legal or privacy requirements evolve.
When we update this policy, we will change the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of the document. If a change is material, we may also provide an in-app notice or another appropriate form of communication when required.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically so you remain informed about how Cuelize handles information.
